On-going Projects:

  • Agro-forestry extension projects in the Awanchi-Betieku sub-region
  • Agricultural income-generating projects in the schools of the Manyu Division
  • Kendem palm oil industry
  • Melon production projects for Kendem farmers
  • Kendem women’s projects development program
  • Tree planting for wind breaks in the Manyu Division
  • HIV & AIDS programs in the Awanchi-Betieku schools

Completed Projects:

  • A multi-purpose nursery training center for Kendem farmers
  • A fishing site at the upper Manyu cross river basin (sports fishing for tourists)
  • A giant trail and demonstration farm for Awanchi-Betieku women’s groups
  • Two thousand hectares of farmland for Kendem women and their micro-projects
  • Thirty pilot nurseries in Kendem

  • Formation of the young farmers group
  • Education for groups on modern aspects of agriculture
  • Capacity-building workshops on the production of crops and marketing
  • Dissemination of information on HIV & AIDS to farmers’ groups

  • 1,000 hectares of forest land acquired for youth employment projects
  • 14 youth group projects identified
  • 516 youths trained on various agro-techniques
  • 1,200 improved cocoa seedlings realized
  • 2,000 improved oil palm seedlings ready for transplant into plantations
